Ghostwriting

You and I will work together to write your piece.  You bring the vision and subject-matter expertise; I bring the writing skills needed to organize and explain your material clearly and meaningfully. 

My approach to ghostwriting ensures your message gets expressed in a way that authentically represents who you are and what you stand for. You will not have to take extra time to train me in anyway, and you don’t have to worry about how to fully translate your ideas or expertise for me.  Ghostwriting isn't magic, it's a process. 

• Examination – Open-mindedness, careful analysis of background information you provide, and primary research as needed helps me comprehend complex issues and conceptualize the best angle for your story within the broader context of your goals and subject .

• Communication – We’ll speak directly at intervals throughout the project to gain and maintain clear understanding of your perspective and objectives. Knowing what to ask and how to ask it in a manner that puts people at ease sharing their expertise and ideas allows me to see things through your eyes. Listening attentively and objectively takes me to the heart of matters and helps me recognize points that lend value to your message.  

• Assimilation – You will not need to teach me how to sound like you. I’m highly experienced with identifying, honoring, and writing in another person’s voice. I’ll ask for samples of material you’ve written to capture your tone and style. I’ll observe your expressions — noting speech patterns, key phrases, word choices, cadence, and sense of humor. I’ll be attentive to your feelings and attitudes on the topic. It’s a versatility that allows me to adapt my writing style to match yours.

• Discretion – Being entrusted with someone’s voice and reputation is a responsibility I take seriously. Your privacy will be respected before, during, and after our work together. I will never reveal my role in ghostwriting your work unless you give prior permission to do so. I take credit for my ghostwriting in the form of happy clients and referrals.
